Marscoin

Submitted by Exponential Times on Mon, 2014-01-20 13:15

Currently, there are two attempts underway to establish the first human base on Mars. While technologically not impossible funding such a project (estimated at 6-20 billion) is a major obstacle. If you share our dream of making that first giant step for mankind a reality, then Marscoin might be something for you.

Simply by using Marscoin, a bitcoin alternative, you will automatically participate in serious boostraping efforts to colonize Mars.

We donated 370,000 Marscoins to MarsOne, a non-profit that attempts to build the first colony on Mars. With your help - by adopting Marscoin - we will be able to help fund mankinds first colony on Mars simply by kickstarting the financial system of the future Mars colony!

In addition, once the colony is set up MarsOne or a Mars colonist could take Marscoin to Mars and install it. That means that your Marscoins would continue to be yours on Mars, forever.
